Donald Trump breaks his silence about Roseanne, makes it all about himself

Donald Trump tweeted about Roseanne Barr, who just lost her show on ABC after a racist and anti-semitic meltdown on Twitter yesterday.

After a few tweets that said that Chelsea Clinton was married to a member of George Soros’s family (she is not), Barr compared Valerie Jarrett, an African American advisor to the Obama Administration, to Planet of the Apes.

“muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj,” Barr wrote.

For Donald Trump, this story is obviously about him. And not because Barr lost her show – her politics are not that different from his – but because he’s thinks that criticism of him is worse than what Barr wrote about Jarrett.

“Gee, [Disney CEO] Bob Iger never called President Donald J. Trump to apologize for the HORRIBLE statements made and said about me on ABC,” Trump tweeted. “Maybe I just didn’t get the call?”

Making Memorial Day, which is about remembering people who have died in the armed forces, about himself is pretty selfish.

Somehow a white person making a national conversation about racism all about his asinine complaints (“I’m the most powerful person in the country, but some people still don’t like me! Boo hoo hoo!”) feels even more selfish.
