Pat Robertson: LGBT people have ‘infiltrated’ society & are ‘dominating’ heterosexuals

Pat Robertson, the approximately 10,000 year-old televangelist and blood diamond dealer, has never met a conspiracy theory he didn’t love. If he can work in a way to blame LGBT people for a national tragedy, so much the better.

This time Robertson’s dander is up because institutions like the media, universities, and the entertainment industries are including LGBT people and being cognizant of the community’s needs and culture.

He says that LGBT people have “infiltrated” modern society and are “dominating” heterosexuals.

“We have given the ground to a small minority,” he said on his longrunning fake news program, The 700 Club. “You figure, lesbians, one percent of the population; homosexuals, two percent of the population. That’s all. That’s statistically all. But they have dominated—dominated the media, they’ve dominated the cultural shift and they have infiltrated the major universities.”

“It’s just unbelievable what’s being done. A tiny, tiny minority makes a huge difference. The majority—it’s time it wakes up.”

Robertson’s solution? He wants to make a movie with Kevin Sorbo, the right wing actor and Trump supporter best known for playing Hercules, a fictional ancient Roman hero and demi-God.

“Kevin Sorbo brought me some scripts so I just finished reading some scripts. I got one that I think would make a pretty good movie. I’m going to talk to Kevin to see what he thinks. We gotta make some more movies.”

    Two Spirits (2009)

Filmmaker Lydia Nibley explores the cultural context behind a tragic and senseless murder. Fred Martinez was a Navajo youth slain at the age of 16 by a man who bragged to his friends that he 'bug-smashed a fag'. But Fred was part of an honored Navajo tradition - the 'nadleeh', or 'two-spirit', who possesses a balance of masculine and feminine traits. Through telling Fred's story, Nibley reminds us of the values that America's indigenous peoples have long embraced.
