A gay man says he was fired after being falsely accused of pedophilia

A former employee of a nonprofit that helps disadvantaged teen boys in New York is suing, saying that he was subjected to homophobic bullying and then fired.

Todd Marbury alleges in his suit that he was bullied by administrator Ronald Robinson since 2000, and the tormenting intensified in 2010 when he had to work more closely with Robinson.

Marbury’s suit says that Robinson repeatedly called him a “big fat gay man.”

Robinson also accused Marbury of wanting to have sex with the teens at the nonprofit organization. “You love young boys, especially those Latino boys,” he allegedly said.

Marbury also says that Robinson made fun of him in front of the teens, once accusing the employee of having had oral sex with a kid within earshot of the teens the organization serves.

Marbury says that he reported Robinson to the Human Resources Department, but that he was just told to “mind his business.”

In 2015, he had an emotional breakdown because of the abuse and had to take time off of work. When he tried to go back to work, he was told that he no longer had a job.

The suit was filed in Manhattan. Marbury is seeking lost wages, $150,000 in damages, and compulsory sexual harassment training for Robinson.

Lincoln Hall has not commented on the suit.
