Even Donald Trump thinks Roy Moore should finally call it quits

Speaking to reporters outside the White House, President Donald Trump called on Roy Moore, the embattled and losing senate candidate from Alabama, to concede the race. Moore lost to Democrat Doug Jones in the normally reliably red state, but says God told him he would win.

Moore, dogged with controversy over allegations of sexual abuse, child molestation, and sexual harassment of teenage girls from multiple women, was already a deeply flawed candidate from the beginning. Also factoring in was his ignoble career in state government, removal from office twice for breaking the law, theft from a religious charity, and vicious racism and homophobia.

Jones, a former United States Attorney, is a civil rights hero who successfully prosecuted Klan members for murder.

Trump to reporters, “I would certainly say he should” concede. “He tried,” Trump added.
