Pentatonix’s cover of Bohemian Rhapsody is going viral for a good reason

Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? No, it’s the latest cover of Queen’s classic rock anthem “Bohemian Rhapsody,” and it’s by the incredible five-member a cappella group from Arlington, Texas, Pentatonix.

Scott Hoying and Mitch Grassi are out, and the rest of their troupe includes Kirstin Maldonado, Avi Kaplan and Kevin Olusola. They are all in their 20’s.

Queen’s Roger Taylor said of the original recording by his bandmate, openly gay frontman Freddie Mercury: “It was either going to be massive or it was going to be nothing.”

“Bohemian Rhapsody” been covered and spoofed thousands of times but this time, Pentatonix gives it a Generation Z vibe that’s hard to beat.
