I love this movie so much. I've seen it numerous times that I've lost count. The music is fantastic - perfect for the tone of this film. The cinematography and the scene compositions are truely superb. I think that's why I keep coming back to this film. And Jeff and Andrea, the main characters, aren't too bad to look at either. :) The kissing scene is by far the best I've ever seen. I highly recommend watching this beautiful film.

This movie reminds me of my loved boy, but that isn't mine. :( I'm 17.

I bookmarked a link to this movie because I knew watching it for the first time that I will keep coming back to it. There is something about this film that restores a sense of well being in me whenever I start to feel manic. I would ask you to watch it first but that is up to you.

Does it have a happy ending? I mean..or at least not a tragic one? I am so damn tired of all these gay films where the ending is horrible, sad or tragic. They bum me out so much I just don't have the heart to watch them..and the trailer of this film is already so sad that I feel it will depress the hell out of me if I watch it. I know some people like sad..but not me. Gay people have enough sad things to deal with in their lives..it's time for happiness..ya know? =/

Overall, this movie was a success. The acting was definitely stilted and the script was amaeturish. However, the message was good and it did evoke real emotion about the guy who died. It was definitely different than most films in the way the narrative revealed more information about what went down. Actual cinematography fairly good, interesting to see a movie set in Dallas, especially a gay one.

I keep coming back to this film like I left something in there that I needed to find. I wish that this film was ten hours long. Ciao is a film that falls under the category "beloved".

Its not romantic because it is not a movie about romance. Jeff did have feelings for his friend Marc who died but Marc never loved Jeff, and they both knew that. Jeff was interested in meeting Andrea but not because he wanted to have sex with him or for romantic reasons, he wanted to meet him because Marc had such a great interest albeit online in Andrea. It was a way to deal with the grief basically and to deal with the unrequited love he had for his dead friend.

I liked the movie, it struck a chord with me, the acting is competent despite what someone else said here. Its not an action or sex flick so I don't think everyone is going to like this movie.

yeah totally agree. There acting didnt convince me that one of there close friends died haha

I loved, loved the storyline. The acting, however, was just dreadful. A shame because this film had so much potential to become one of those gay-themed classics.

Yeah, I hear you, but it was so unexpected and I think gay cinema needs to go beyond the usual, we get together or we can't get together due to death, homophobia or being "taken". While I have to admit I am a sucker for the aforementioned typical love story, but I love when people go outside and do it well, I loved it, but I am grossly outnumbered

Bugcrush felt like an amalgam of Lynch and Cronenberg. It was the kind of film-making that I can admire, but don't necessarily want to follow to the bitter end.

    Latter Days (2003)

Aaron Davis (Steve Sandvoss) and Christian Markelli (Wes Ramsey) are perhaps the two most opposite people in the world. Aaron is a passionate young Elder (a Mormon missionary) who wants to do his family and church proud. Christian is a shallow West Hollywood waiter/party boy who only looks forward to what man the next night will bring to him. After Aaron and three other Elders move into the apartment across from his, Christian's friends make a bet that he can't get one of them into the sack, so...
