This is the ONLY movie that can get me to cry properly. Titanic? No. A Walk to Remember? No. Kiss of the Spider woman? Tears.

just saw the movie.. and i dont know.. i think is a good movie. but just that.. and i mean, its my opinion. I dont see this movie on the level of movies that i really love like "CINEMA PARADISO". The movie is like 2 hours long..in the first Hour i think William Hurt acting was very stereotypical and i wasnt "buying" his character. But in the second hour of the movie he looks more "credible". But thats all. Its a ok movie, but it was not as good as i heard.

I think the police may have felt Molina was gonna jeopardise the whole 'mission' as such. by pairing up with valentins crew, the police attacked on the basis that they believed he had identified the actual group they were after all along. he gets shot by the rebels because they obviously know he is a threat to them either way - clearer? the whole point of valentins morphine enticed dreams is to give him the sanctity he knows he shall never get in life as long as he is in prison, so his dreams a

A Brazilian-American movie, filmed entirely in Sao Paulo (Brazil), starred by Brazilian actress Sonia Braga, the American actor William Hurt, and Raul Julia ( Puerto Rican actor). An wonderful movie!

Here William Hurt secures himself at the top of the art of film acting. Couldn't be a more particular character and yet he embodies all humanity. I have never seen as fascinating a theatrical style film performance which is perfect, perfectly true and poetically true. No performance more brave, vulnerable, or beautiful. A perfect miracle.
