Ppl have to respect this work of art for what it is. Not all movies/love stories have a happy ending. This is more of a film that explores the side of sex instead of actual love. It's about a boy who realizes he is gay while his best friend (who is a girl) is in love ith him.

this movie is so awesome. A bit odd though, but I love it. I hate Maggie's part, basically I hate Tina Holme's characters in all gay themed movies, like Shelter..

This movie blew me away-the music, the situation, Maggie the "hag", his first "time" thinking it was the "one"-all of it gave me shivers. What a real movie-I felt everything Chris' character felt at some point or another. By the end of the movie, I wanted to get into the TV and take him out of there for myself. One of the greatest gay coming of age stories EVER. It never makes his journey flaming or cartoonish.

So many guys have movies that are similar to their own coming out story... is there a movie where i guy comes out because he doesnt want to live a lie anymore, earns respect from his friends and teachers but loses everything when his sister finds out he's gay from one of the football players when she and the whole family come to hear him sing the national anthem at the homecoming game his senior year?

Talking heads, anchored by critic and scholar B. Ruby Rich, are interspersed with an advancing chronology and with clips from two dozen films. The narrative groups the pictures around various firsts, movements, and triumphs: experimental films, independent films, sex on screen, outlaw culture and bad...
