I'm pretty impressed that Dianne Feinstein was able to make the announcement so calmly, given she was the one who discovered Milk's body and had to identify both Moscone and Milk to the police.

Just by watching this film and Gus Van Sant's "Milk," I can see that Harvey was a very, determined and courageous man to everyone. Am I right? He was gifted, truly gifted. So sad that he and George Moscone were killed, all because of Dan White. If Milk was still alive, he would be honored at the fact two films were made about his life.

Harvey Milk is such an extraordinary man. He helped open the doors for so many people and served as an example to so many. I instantly thought of him when I was watching "In The Family". It is a film about two fathers raising their son and the struggles society can create for them. I feel like without men like Harvey Milk, such films wouldn't even have been possible. bitty. com/GGQo0V
