    "The photographs are less important than the life that one is leading" When being a self-centered narcissist is more important to you than your work you cannot call yourself an artist. All artist were narcissists but generally that took a back seat to their work, which could be construed as the origin for their narcissism. Artists saw themselves as important because of the work they produced, not the other way around.
