Description An intimate, mixed media documentary that follows Tig Notaro, a Los Angeles based comedian, who just days after being diagnosed with invasive stage II breast cancer changed the course of her career with a poignant stand-up set that became legendary overnight. This documentary explores Tig's extraordinary journey as her career ignites and as her life unfolds in grand and unexpected ways, all the while continuing to battle a life-threatening illness and falling in love. This film is a hybrid of comedy and drama that captures a personal journey about facing crisis head on with honesty and grace and overcoming pain and suffering with the healing power of comedy. It's a story about moving forward during a period of your life when you don't know what is going to happen. When you are willing to risk it all for what you believe is the right thing to do and for what you want to happen in this life.

I have just watched it! It's amazing, easily my favorite. I can't believe I hadn't watched it sooner.

"Hi, I have cancer, how are you?" This isn't funny. This isn't a breakthrough. This isn't edgy. I have sympathy for those who have cancer and to see a highlight of a show on that 20 second commercial have that and that alone, just to get more view? Get the fuck out. I bet people would get pretty annoyed and tired of me running up to them and shouting "I have a fatal heart disease!"..

A gender-confused loser pulling the cancer card out on the world of comedy for guilt laughs. Jesus you'd be better off dead.

Watched the first 30 minutes at work while I was working on some spreadsheets and had to turn it off. Not because it wasn't good, it was amazing, but because I was literally crying alone in my office and thought "how fucking awkward would it be if someone walked in to talk to me and I'm sobbing with tears rolling down my face?" I can't wait to finish this documentary after I get off work. I was truly moved by her story. This represents, to me, the true meaning of comedy, which is being able to transcendent tragedy with laughter and to look at your own impermanence with a light heart. Thank you Tig, you made a life long fan today. Hope all is well. Sincerely, Random Dickhead on Youtube

Just watched the whole movie... My god. I haven't cried that much for so many different emotions in my life. Laughter, joy, sadness, grief.. this was the most beautiful 90 minutes of my life. I can't even put into words the admiration I have for this woman.

Says "I have cancer" with everyone laughing not knowing if shes serious or there's a concept. It's manipulative on people's emotions. Just because you have cancer doesn't mean you have the right to jerk people's emotions. Everyone is amped up to laugh and you know it. Cancer doesn't give you carte blanche to be a dick.

I'd watch it if they brutally roasted her on her death bed. Prolly' watch it anyway because I'm an unemployed Jack wad, piggy backing off if my hot neighbors' Wi-Fi. between eating cereal in bed and dozing off trying to watch Korean Gangster movies... ANOTHER POLICE HELICOPTER????! Christ, I can't even try to post my stream of conscious on the tubes without police helicopters scaring my cat.

Burr, Silverman and a dying standup comedian. It's going to be the "Feel Good Romp" of the summer!

tig notaro is probably one of the comedians in the world.

It hurts like hell to go through any of the stuff she experienced, let alone all of them. If she can walk away from those events with a smile and laugh at them, that's awesome. And perhaps other ppl who have been there too will learn that you can taste tragedy but still have a life worth living and celebrating.

Most people would crawl in a hole & die but Tig not only didn't, she's made us all laugh about her horrors. File under: Exceptional!

Set in New Zealand in the summer of 1975, 50 Ways of Saying Fabulous is the story of 12 year-old Billy, who is about to discover that growing up is a lot more confusing than he could have ever imagined. He is a farmer's only son who is out of step with the other boys at his school. He feels they only want to fight and play rugby and while he tries to be the same, he feels he was never cut out to be a farmer or a rugby player. Instead, he prefers to dream about an imaginary life in outer space....
