They just HAD to white wash this film. The director needs to accept that history is history, no matter what race, you shouldn't change it.

This movie would have been so good, if they showed Masha throw that brick instead

Oh wow. It´s even worse then I imagined... Damn, why can´t we have a movie about Stonewall directed by Quentin Tarentino?

Even though this film was politically and historically incorrect and very white washed its better to take it as a fictional film and enjoy it a little.

I see all this hate for a movie, which was so powerful and touching! I'm a gay teen and I have heard of Stonewall, never did I know it started so powerfully. The acting of the main character is completly touching and shows the true fight people, went through to be themselves. You can't say it's whitewashing when they have included every nationality possible in the movie. You have to begin somewhere and this has truly become an inspirational watch too all of my family and freinds!

are you fucking kidding me? marsha Johnson was the one who threw the first brick, she was a black trans woman. the main character is some cis white male who now gets credit for what a black trans woman did? this looks like all of those movies about slavery made by white people who said the n word and are trying to make up for it. its a historical movement that's never before been represented, and that's cool, but now you're taking away the color and the gender expression and identity because once again the cis white male agenda trumps historical fact.

when stonewall was made a national monument I didn't even know what it was. it should be taught in schools.

wasn't a black woman the first to throw a brick at stonewall?

Excuse me whilst I throw up. As a queer person, currently gender confused, this pisses me off. Where are the people of colour, drag queens, butch lesbians and trans people!?

Stonewall was not about rich white kids, it was about homeless camp gays, about black trans women, about those with aids, about the ones in the "queer lists". About the lowly people on society, not regarded as an equal even by the same rich white boys you publisice. Yet tgey fought, and won.
