Calling Jobriath a motherfucker is like calling Myra Hindley a childminder.

I'd see the film, but I have Jobraith's albums & don't know if it's factual to say he wasn't a success only because he was out. Play GaryGlitter, Sweet, Slade, RoxyMusic, NY Dolls, Wizzard, Sparks, Quatro, glam-period-Bowie-&-EltonJohn, T-Rex, Alice Cooper, Rocky Horror, or even 2nd tier acts like Mud, Hello, & Alvin Stardust after any Jobriath song & decide for yourself if something isn't lacking in his music. Even hero-seeking gay fans from back then told me they were sadly dissapointed.

Sure, he had the strongest and perhaps the most genuine glam rock persona of anyone at the time. The only thing he was missing was songs with the kind of timeless universal quality that Bowie produced with regularity.

Rock n'Rollers are so gaykayfabed. Gorgeous George. the Exoytic Adrian Streeyt, Adrian Adonis, Golddust, and many, many more, whether in the ring or in the locker room. Wrestling's for real.

I love Jobriath! It's unfair how obscure he still is. His voice, his power, his magic, it was and is undeniable. Long live Jobriath, the true fairy of rock!

narrated by henry rollins? wha? i would have thought they would have used a Brit for the narration. what became of 'the true fairy of rock and roll'? did he turn out to be the blond guy from Queer Eye?
