Description The battle of the sexes and relationships among the elite of Britain's industrial Midlands in the 1920s. Gerald Crich and Rupert Berkin are best friends who fall in love with a pair of sisters Gudrun, a sculptress and Ursula Brangwen, a schoolteacher. Rupert marries Ursula, Gerald begins a love affair with Gudrun, and the foursome embarks upon a Swiss honeymoon. But the relationships take markedly different directions, as Russell explores the nature of commitment and love. Rupert and Ursula learn to give themselves to each other; the more withdrawn Gerald cannot, finally, connect with the demanding and challenging Gudrun.

Is this the worst movie trailer of all time? You couldn't make a parody of it.

I can't help thinking that these women are in fact male fantasies created by a male writer, filmed by a male director and aimed at a male audience.

Glenda Jackson was six months pregnant when she made this movie.

Gudrun Brangwen is the role Glenda Jackson was BORN to play. No actress will EVER play this character as well. Bravo Miss Jackson!

One of the best films ever! The acting, by a superb cast, is unforgettable...

One of the best films of the late '60s/early '70s(counting the American release). Glenda Jackson earns her Oscar for her breathtaking performance, and what a cast to include Oliver Reed, Alan Bates, Jennie Linden, Eleanor Bron, and Michael Gough. An amazing film adaption of an amazing novel.

Campaign of Hate: Russia and Gay Propaganda (2014)

As most of the world moves forward toward gay equality, Russia is seemingly heading backward. Antigay sentiment and legislation are spreading rapidly throughout the country. In 2013, the Russian parliament passed a ban on so-called 'gay propaganda' that effectively makes nearly any public discussion of gay equality a crime. It is my hope that this documentary will educate viewers to their reality.
