Gods word doesn't change and neither does he change about his stance on homosexuality. No matter how cute or girly she makes herself look. Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood can think they have more love and clout then God but they are deceived and will account for the millions they convinced that homosexuality is of God! Having God commanded morals are not hate they are to help us live healthier, happier and peace filled lives. THE 30 MILLION DEAD GAY MEN PROVE ITS DESTRUCTIVE NATURE AND THE TRUTH OF GODS WORD. She will also be held highly accountable for all those lives destroyed by homosexuality. Honor your mother and father, how dare her throw her mother, true country fans and Christianity under the bus mocking them and her Creator. She even throws butch looking lesbians under the bus because they dont look like her! Acting as if she is so terrified to tell her mother meanwhile booking talk show interviews and selling her book capitalizing on the liberal tone of society and the homosexual almighty dollar is literally disingenuous and disgusting. And that ole talking point about "why would a country singer come out when you know the country community" is bullshit! Millions of drug addicts, alcoholics and pedophiles continue in their sin KNOWING it could destroy their lives their families and their future! You don't care about any judgment you care about validation, notoriety and self. Gods word told us 2000 years ago that man would become lovers of self calling good evil and evil good. Here is the proof how true his word is. And inalienable rights do not supercede Gods law! So shove that up your proud lesbian sister ass!

Not a modern country music fan, but I recently watched this movie on cable. It was beautiful and moving and I came away impressed and inspired by Chely's courage.  Not sure if it was intended or not, but I thought there was a very powerful message all through the movie about how psychologically damaging religious fundamentalism is to people and families.

Beautiful. Beautiful Documentary. Chely Wright first and foremost has a Beautiful Voice. That's ALL her career in Country Music should be about. It is so sad; the amount of intolerance there is in this world. I am not gay/lesbian but believe in equality for all on all fronts. You Go Girl!!!!! I loved the doc.

It is astounding to me that the very same religion can turn some people - like Carrie Underwood and President Carter - into massively loving, giving and accepting individuals, yet can turn others into sick and twisted individuals, like Pastor Charles Worley, who gave the sermon about putting gay people inside a fence to presumably let them die out (obviously he doesn’t understand that gay people mostly come from heterosexual parents). Frankly, I think the way people interpret Christianity says more about who they are as individuals than it does Christianity as a religion. Cheers.

It seems that people have watched this doc and come away with the idea that butch lesbians are a stereotype, that it's ok to hate on butch lesbians because they are ugly and masculine but we should love Chely because she's feminine. WTH kind of message is that?! There are different types of lesbians, butch, femme, and everything in between. There's nothing wrong with being butch

I realized that Chely and I have something in common as I watched the trailer to her movie "Wish Me Away"...The stigma and the pain inflicted on us gay and lesbian people had, at some time or another, caused us both to put a gun in our mouth.

This is touching and breath-taking. Stories like this will help us to be more tolerant and progress in ethical terms. We must EVOLVE!

I admire you for the courage you have put into coming out.I don't understand what your emotional preference has to do with your musical performance. It's really not of our concern.I had recently began to listen to Country Music. After hearing your story and how the Country Music Industry has reacted to you,I am seriously taking a look into myself and the choice "I" now need to make. How can I be Gay and support an industry that turns its back on "my kind". I CAN'T! I WON"T
