By the time she entered her teen years, Eddie could no longer hide the fact that she was a lot different, that she was meant to be female and not male. When she finally accepted it and with her mom's eventual support, Eddie changed her name to Gwen and started to live life as female until a tragic night changed everything.

This all could have been avoided if she/he would have been up front from the start. Killing her/him was wrong, but boy she/he put themselves in that position.

I have a child who is transgender. It is a complicated and sometimes difficult issue. People who go through this are really going through things that most of us can never understand. I find this world is sometime very inhumane when it comes to this issue. Some of these comments are so terribly ignorant and it is truly heartbreaking as a mother to think that this society could just leave these iguana behind. These people are our loved ones and they are human! They deserve love and honor not hate

  • Fernanda Oliver 2013-01-30 03:14:49
@ Anthony when gwen lie about her gender and u say the victims are the men? okay they wanted sex. so they didnt got hurt they felt ashamed of what happend. But in no way they had the right to kill her. you dont have the right to hurt or kill somebody but your own. u see this as the guys point of view put your self in a transgender shoes u will want to die in 5 mins.

when your transgender today, your open about it this happend some time ago transgender was not common so people didnt know alot about it. trans people will do anything to protect their identity even if it gets to extream she didnt lie in purpose.

if my child was a transgender i would pray for her. but if my child still lived with me she would have to live by my rules. I wouldn't allow her to act or dress like a women. they shouldnt of killed her but she had it coming, i dnt have nothing against gay people but i do hate liars that do nasty shit like gwen did.

It wasn't ok for her to lie to them, but its also not ok for those guys to kill her! Joey didn't do that but those dick heads did! She was suppose to be a girl in real life! Her mom didn't except who she really was! If I was her mother, I would give her the operation that she would need! I really don't care what other people would say! If she was your daughter, you would feel the same way as me, so bad for her, sorry, and find a way to help her! Would you do that if your child was a transgender?

of course. not to mention tricking other men to have sex with another man. thats the lowest of the low. but the way our government system is set up, is that the real victims are the ones treated like criminals.

I don't have anything against transgenders, but I have to agree with you. You can really hurt someone mentally by not being honest with your real gender. But still, I think some time behind the bars would have been a more suitable punishment for him. Hell, maybe even suing somebody that deceitful.

how was she brave. she wasnt brave enough to be honest about herself
  • anthony james 2013-01-07 20:36:45
what are you talking about?? the real victims are the men that got tricked. wouldnt you agree?? i feel like justice was served.
  • anthony james 2013-01-07 20:34:28
matter fact. thats like being molested. i hate how they trying to make this transgender mans story sad and shit. fuck that. the real victims were the three men that were lied to. thats on the same level as molesting an innocent child. this transgender is a perverse and sick person who got what he deserved. thats karma for you
  • anthony james 2013-01-07 20:26:18
so do you think it was ok for the transgender to lie to those men and keep the truth from them. Aren't the three men victims as well?
  • anthony james 2013-01-07 20:25:16
The real victims in this story are the three men that got tricked into sleeping with a man. I don't understand how you people cannot see that. That is the most vial and perverse thing that you can do to someone. i feel bad for the three men who got tricked. not the transgender
  • anthony james 2013-01-07 20:22:47
she shouldnt of lied about her true anatomy. that is a perverse thing to do. what this transgender man did was 1000 times worse then the murder that the men committed. she deceived them. i have nothing against gays. as long as your honest about who you are and not going around lying and tricking people in order to have fun. and besides, even if the transgender was really a women he still would of been considered a hoe considering she messed with all the guys.
  • anthony james 2013-01-07 20:16:58
who is brave? deff not the he/she....cuz if he/she was brave he/she would of been brave enough to tell the truth about himself/herself
  • erik garcia 2013-01-07 17:24:17
Maybe this thing shouldn't have lied 2 people and told them she was a real female maybe she would be alive still
