Description Armando, a middle-aged owner of a Caracas dental prosthesis business, is estranged from his father, who he observes occasionally from a distance. He finds a young man of the streets who negotiates a fee high enough for the boy to be used to provide Armando's masturbatory object. Although a following encounter ends in a beating for Armando, he continues to make the boy dependent. What is the final result that Armando desires? Is it something more than a conflicted relationship with a hustler?

I watched it at the London Film Festival last year, everybody was speechless at the end. One of the best movies that I have seen from Venezuela (I am Venezuelan). Well for a reason won the Golden Leon in Venice. I cant commend it enough.

Just saw this today at the Film Forum. It was a good movie. Its a refection of many sad things in Venezuelan society, though the relationships & scenarios in the movie exist everywhere including the US. Its about what poor, young, people who have no opportunities and a future do in order to survive and how class and wealth can often seduce them into doing anything. Its also about how desperate people are to be loved. I don't think the film was about homosexuality or young men prostituting themselves.
