    @IWannabeJew My thought exactly. though i do recommend Sodot it's a nice piece and tho it's about lesbianism this time :) it's not the focus of the movie you can also go for such classics as "Avia's Summer"

    @IWannabeJew Well I never said anything about gay behaviour. I just said the film has more meaning in giving people something to think about, since it has a different point of view.

    @007badboy88 Gay Jews is nothing new. The powerful Alexandrian Jews who were hobnobbing with the Roman elite were probably engaging in a little Peanut Butter Jelly Time, too.

    @iiyz How does gay behavior "have more meaning", just because it is taking place in a religious community? That's like saying Christianity has more meaning when it is practiced in the Hotel California.

    @necrosny I think someone should make a movie about you growing a brain and learning how to play with it.

    @Jamaicanchocolate34 Way to SPOIL, Sport!

    Why does Israel cinema always lack imagination when it comes to developing the conflict of a story? They simply choose something that is an obvious taboo and go with that. Do they lack the expertise to make a gripping film out of a conflict that is more subtle?

    A very moving and haunting film.

    What is the soundtrack of this movie?
  • LuwBren 2010-11-20 22:03:51
    Wow.. really surprising for Jews to make such a movie. I loved it.

    @frumlady As a straight, non-religious Gentile, I think it would be quite fun to have gay nights in the synagogue. On a more serious note, why do you say G-d and not God? And have you watched "Judea Declares War on Germany"?

    @OnyOner That's the FIRST thing I thought of too!!!

    this reminds me of the film that Robert Downey jr was playing a gay monk in love with Tobey Maguire in the beginning of Tropic Thunder.

    @necrosny A movie that fits closest to your decription: The Bubble by Eytan Fox LOL
  • Necros Ny 2010-08-30 11:38:16
    @iiyz I think Israel should release a movie about stopping war and getting gay with Palestine.
  • iirosaen 2010-08-30 03:05:44
    @necrosny Yes I'm gay, I'm not originally from Israel, but I have lived there for long periods of time.
