"Awakening" is a perfect title for this short. Poor Carsten says he doesn't understand what's happening to him. Stig says he does, because he's been there. Unlike Stig we can hope that Carsten honors who he is. The unfolding of the story all hinges on Carsten kissing Stig in the car. That was brave and wreckless. Stig was right to kiss him back and right to end it. Their groping, though, should not have been interrupted. Now Carsten will look for a man who's single and available. Thanks!

Poor Carsten, poor Stig! It really hurts to be ambushed by your own feelings. But thank god they did the right thing in the end. A relationship would have been WAYYY wrong. Great short movie! It handled an explosive topic beautifully.

i didn't find your comment insulting at all, and i don't think mine reflects that i did either, i was just giving you information about parenting in northern europe.

denmark is a very liberal country (thank god.) and i think all parents should learn something from the ones in this film when it comes to what they do and don't let their children do. of course, each child is different and therefore needs to be treated differently. some need strong boundaries, some manage well without. i think the portrayal of the parents in this film is very reflecting of how the majority of parents in scandinavia are. and the AOC is 15 in denmark, and LDA is 16, so it's legal.
