I've seen comments here talking about how manipulative and selfish Sebastian is, but the truth is most people don't realize a lot of us have got someone like that in our lives, at least at some point. Be it an old fling or a friend, there are always people out there who notice how much we care for them and exploit that the most that they can until all that's left is ashes. And this movie in particular also plays around with the first love concept a lot of gay guys go through in their lives (myself included) who more often than not end up being in love with a straight friend or someone who can't reciprocate. Some times these centers of our attention care so much for us and rely so much on our support that they find ways to keep us close, hopeful and in love. Realizing that is the hardest part. Sebastian is doing exactly that. And it hits way too close to home for me not to be in love with the movie.

The piano piece in the trailer... does anyone know what that's called?
  • Beau Locon 2017-01-25 06:50:57
I'm just saying, his name isn't actually Charlie - it's Eric van der Woodsen; and this was actually the incredibly written, dramatic, complicated, and terribly real storyline they didn't feature on Gossip Girl. They finally came through.

One of the best LGBT-themed movies I've seen in a long time. Great acting and captivating story. Definitely recommended.

I love this film. I can so relate with Charlie. Except, some aspects of my life are different. Still, love this.

Unless Charlie gets that manipulative drama queen out of his life...he will constantly find that his happiness is undermined. He needs to get on the next plane to SF, and leave all that bullshit behind.
