thi is the most phenomenal and heartbreaking movie that i have ever watched. it's an eye opener to everyone who is blindsided about gay men, AIDS, equality & respect. I am so proud to be one..even prouder now because if its true, a gay help ended world war 2. Kudos to all gays around the world!

The only reason why people say so many hateful things about this movie is because it's something they don't understand or even see. The only thing that they see is that two men and two women kissing, is disgusting and mostly pay attention to what the bible says. It makes me realize how pathetic those people can be and who are they to say that gay people don't deserve any rights that other people deserves. We're all the same. you cut me and i cut you, we both bleed red, we're not different, we just don't like the same gender as you want us to.

According to this trailer all gay men are hunks with nice abs and juicy arms, yet Grindr says otherwise.

Sad movie, Mark Ruffalo did an excellent job in his role. I liked it much better than Dallas Buyers Club, which I felt lacked depth.

HIV/AIDS - You play, you pay.

My main concern about this movie is how white all the actors are. If you know anything about New York gay culture in the 1980s, you know that many/most of them were not white. And yet if you treated this movie as a documentary, whiteness is almost all you see. The black/latino/etc gay men of 1980s New York have been erased.

And yet I don't think the trailer pays enough tribute to the movie.

I hate the word homophobia. You're not scared, you don't agree with that lifestyle. Period.
