You don't need to like fashion to like this movie... What I found interesting about this film isn't the way he became famous. In fact, it doesn't explain it. The human part is main in this movie and that's the reason worth watching for this movie. The "fashion designer" part is only a metaphor, a reason to this strange life. We just have a journey in his complex sexuality, emotions, drugs, art, musical, richness (bourgeoisie) universe in Paris in the 70's and other places. How can so many things be packed up in one person and create by the same occasion global influence and power in fashion industry ? (even If i don't care about fashion)
